Gilfach (meaning - “Little Retreat”)
is adjacent to the northern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, just outside of the village of Sennybridge. Although easily accessible from the A40 that runs through the National Park, the farm quietly nestles within a beautiful sheltered and secluded valley.
Gilfach is a 60 acre farm that is home to around twenty horses, our three friendly dogs, a playful cat, and of course your hosts. Having never been intensively farmed, Gilfach has a fantastic natural environment, with extensive native mixed woodlands, crystal-clear babbling brooks, wild-flower meadows, bluebell woodlands and wetland areas. On site you can enjoy horse-riding, and locally, walking, climbing, fishing, mountain biking, site-seeing, exploring - or you could just enjoy the privacy the Cottage offers and unwind in the most tranquil of surroundings.
This seemly remote yet very accessible location, and the breathtaking views and scenery make the Cottage at Gilfach a great place to stay at very reasonable rates.
