Diary (Mid January)

Business as Usual

A near normal weather and working regime has resumed.  Horses are returning to work, clients are returning for lessons, and prospective guests are beginning to book their stay with us.  Thank Goodness the post Christmas general lack of motivation (or is it just me?) has warn off already!

New Arrivals

Gilfach has welcomed two new full-liveries to the yard.  After the tricky isolation periods that we insist upon, both horses have made themselves very much at home now.

Merry & Candy have had their peaceful lives somewhat disturbed by the arrival of a large and boisterous Chocolate Lab.  Although only on day two, and still "on trial" - I think, between us, we can lick him into shape!

Plans for the Year Ahead

Hugh's project for the year is  - gardening.  The front "area" of the farmhouse has been razed to the ground by the digger in preparation for a hopefully beautiful rose garden.  The previously redundant polytunnel, and a surrounding plot, have been beautifully prepared in readiness for much vegetable propagation.  Thousands of carrot seeds have been purchased (useful if we get a glut!).

Sheila's project is the on-going one ... to continue the education of her charges, both equine and two-legged in matters of equitation.

Horses

All OK.  Lively and looking forward to Spring for the same reasons as me I think!

Weekly Lesson Availability Update

As of 18th January...

Our live in school horses (Alfie, Larry, George, Limonero) are still feeling "good" after their holidays - but good in a good way!

Our live out school horses (Floy, Bobby, Timber, Pandora, Zela, Cherry) ticking along nicely, feeling and looking very well indeed.

Lessons are available as per usual hours.
