Diary (End of October 2010)

Properly Autumn Now

Sennybridge hits the headlines again - the coldest place in England and Wales the other night, hitting an impressive -6.1 degrees overnight!  Fortunately, things have warmed up since then!

Horses

All still doing well.  The established members of our team are working hard for the last few weeks of our "busy" time for us, whilst the babies (Rosie and Jewel) are having a lighter workload for a while.  We are all gradually adjusting to the changes that the changing season brings - lots of shuffling around of who goes where both stable & field wise during the day.  A full house during the night.

Staff

We're down to two full timers now (horses seem to be so much easier to manage than people!), and some much appreciated part-time help.  Everything is running like clockwork once more.  Happy horses, happy clients, less stressed Proprietors...

Looking Ahead

Sheila is looking forward to using our quieter time to bring on the ridden work of the younger members of our team (both horse and human!).  Ico seems to be responding very well to the IRAP treatment so far, and will be re-assessed by the vets soon.  Restricted exercise does not suit Ico well!

We are better set-up for Winter than any year before.  We look forward to welcoming you to a Gilfach winter experience!

We hope to see you soon.
