A spectacular early Spring day for Gilfach's horses
Hugh - rose garden planting!
Diary (Early April)
Horses
The "lull before the storm" - our horses are being tuned up for a very busy pre, mid & post Easter period with new and previous guests being welcomed back for the "Gilfach Experience".
All are doing very well, and like us, have enjoyed a very pleasant early Spring. We have a new recruit called 'Billy', who came for a few weeks education last year. Although still new to the job here, we are optimistic that Billy will enjoy his time here and be an asset to Gilfach. (Picture of Billy to follow!).
Bobby has been on rest recently having displayed a variety of symptoms that had us, his owner and our excellent Equine vets scratching heads so to speak! After some very intensive investigation, we hope the problem has been identified, treated and solved. Early days yet, but we collectively have our fingers' crossed!
People
The human team seem to be a good one again. For some reason I am loathe to say this, as "Murphy's law" always seems kick in as soon as I say something positive!...
The Farm
The early onset of Spring is working wonders on the beautifully tended pastures, and now garden too. Hugh is doing a great job as head gardener.
We are marketing the Cottage as a great place to stay for Mountain Biking enthusiasts - Sennybridge is a great hub for Mountain Biking apparently! If you know anyone who is into this form of exercise/enjoyment/torture(?) - do point them in our direction!!!
We look forward to welcoming you to Gilfach soon!
